gravy... granny style


the first time i made gravy i had the biggest thickest pancake you ever seen. so i hope this helps.
 you can also use olive oil and 2% milk just add a little more flour. and for corn meal gravy just use corn meal instead of flour. you can leave out the salt and pepper and let people add there own.

                   1 1/2 table spoons lard     melt in skillet  medium heat
                   2      table spoons flour     mix in melted lard till lumps are gone
                   1/4 tea spoon of sugar
                   1 1/2 cup milk                   mix thoroughly while on heat
                     1  pinch salt
                     1 pinch pepper               stir till it thickens

                  ready to eat or stir in some meat

                            1/2 cup   cooked sausage  or hamburger or cooked diced ham
